Our latest Gourmet Club dinner featured fondue. The hostess supplied the meat: steak, chicken and shrimp and all kinds of sauces. One couple brought cut up vegetables, one brought two kinds of bread to dip in melted cheese and the other two couples split the dessert: one bringing pound cake and the other cut up fruit, which were dipped in plain chocolate or raspberry chocolate.

It made for a nice leisurely dinner. Easy and no real recipes involved. I really don’t know why fondue kind of went out of style after the 70’s! Let’s bring it back!
