7UP Cake Recipe

11/2 c butter, softened
3 c sugar
5 eggs
3 c flour
1 T lemon extract
3/4 c 7 UP soda

Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in flour, beat in lemon extract and 7-up. Be sure to grease and flour your Fluted Cake Pan and then pour the batter into the pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 60-85 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes. Then, using a disposable knife, make for certain the cake has released from the sides and center of the pan and remove cake from the pan. Dust with confectioner’s sugar if desired. Serves 16 or more people.

Microwave Apple Cake

1 package yellow cake mix
3 eggs
1 (21 ounce) can of apple pie filling
1/2 c applesauce

Mix the box of cake, eggs, pie filling and applesauce until moist. Pour mixture into the Fluted cake pan. Bake on high for 12 minutes. Remove and cover pan with a dish and let stand for 5 minutes. (this finishes the cooking process) Turn cake over onto dish and remove for a delicious dessert. Great with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping. Also try: chocolate cake with cherry pie filling or spice cake with pumpkin pie filling!

Kahlua Cake

1 box chocolate cake mix (without pudding)
1 sm. box instant chocolate pudding mix
4 eggs
3/4 c oil
1 t vanilla extract
2 c sour cream
1/3 c kahlua liquor
1-12 oz bag chocolate chips

Beat eggs, then add sour cream, oil, kahlua and vanilla. Beat in pudding and add most of the cake mix reserving 1/4 c of dry cake mix to coat the chocolate chips. Finally, stir in coated chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes in Flute d Cake Pan. (This is a rich, moist cake dessert. It tastes better as it sits. Best if wrapped and kept in the refrigerator.)

Pumpkin Bread Cake

Take 2 Fluted Cake Pans and bake pumpkin pound cake or sweet pumpkin bread in each one. Cool both cakes on the flat portion. While cakes are cooling, make your favorite cream cheese frosting. Once cakes are cooled, flip one so that it is resting on the rounded portion with the flat side up. The flat side will become the middle of your pumplin. Cover the “middle” of your pumpkin with the frosting and place the second cake on the top with the flat side down. Now you have a pumpkin! Take 4-6 stalks of leafy celery and wrap them together and place them down the middle hole of the cakes and they form the stalk of the pumpkin!
