Here’s another post you should keep handy for last minute guests or to fill in your own ideas for party foods.

1. A raw veggie platter with dips (carrot and celery sticks, broccoli and cauliflower flowerettes, radishes, cucumber slices, small mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, red/green pepper slices and perhaps serve it with a ranch dip, blue cheese dressing and green goddess dressing)

2. An antipasto tray (salami chunks, pepperoni slices, mozzarella chunks, black olives, marinated artichoke hearts, white asparagus spears, grape tomatoes, roasted red peppers, pepperoncini peppers, marinated mushrooms and after arranging these items on your tray(s) sprinkle with some fresh cracked black pepper, some coarse sea salt and then mix a little balsamic vinegar with some olive oil and a small amount of oregano or Italian spice blend and drizzle over everything)

3. Kebabs – just get some wooden skewers and on each one stack a cube of cheese (provolone, mozzarella, cheddar, Swiss), a cube or rolled up slice of meat (salami, ham, turkey, roast beef), a small pickle (olive, baby gherkins, chunk of dill pickle), and repeat.

4. Cheese and cracker tray

5. Chips and dip

6. Meatballs

7. Cut up fresh fruit (pineapple chunks, grapes, melon chunks, cantaloupe chunks, strawberries, blueberries and serve in hollowed out watermelon halves)

8. Finger sandwich platter (get small rolls or mini croissants and stuff them with turkey/ham/cheese slices, chicken salad, tuna salad, roast beef slices) and have small bowls of mayo, mustard, horseradish sauce on the side.

9. Deviled Eggs

10. Dessert platter with bite-sized goodies like brownies, pound cake, angel food cake (slice with a bread knife to keep from flattening it while cutting), small cookies.

11. Bowl of spiced or mixed nuts
