Baby Shower

I saw a cute idea for a baby shower recently. Place Truffled Popcorn in individual bags that either match the décor, or are pink or blue or even have a guest’s name stenciled on each bag. Prop up a small note card in front of the bags that says “Ready to Pop’

• 6 tablespoons butter, unsalted
• 1 teaspoon white truffle oil
• 4 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 cup popcorn kernels
• salt
• freshly ground pepper

In a small saucepan, over low heat, melt butter. Add truffle oil and salt – keep over low heat until ready to pour over the popcorn.

If you have a air popper, add the popcorn kernels and start popping. If not, you can pop the kernels [with olive or canola oil] in a large pot over the stove – cover and cook over medium heat until they start popping. be sure to shake the pot continuously, until the popping has stopped.

Remove the popcorn into a large bowl and drizzle the truffled butter, toss well. Season with salt and pepper.
